So I’ve been a bit of a procrastinator in taking some pictures of my own belly but I finally did it. I’m not sure how I feel about the ones I’m posting here today, since we’re always our own toughest critics, but at least this stage has been recorded. I hope I’ll take some more in the weeks I have left or have one of the kids or Scott take a shot or two. We shall see.

I had postponed my original session date with Glenda & Albert due to nasty weather and though the day we did do the shoot was super windy, it was nicely sheltered at Bowness Park. This is a bit of a longer blog post for a maternity session since I took a slightly different approach just to add some variety to the images. There are some of my usual shots and also a few more story telling ones as well. Glenda and Albert have two pretty sweet dogs and they both fit nicely into the shoot and gave me some new inspiration.

When I heard from Sally that they were expecting their first in December I was absolutely thrilled. I was given the wonderful opportunity to photography their wedding a year ago (follow the link the see that post) and it’s always a joy to hear from past clients, especially ones like these two. As soon as we started our session I remembered how much fun they are to work with, their ease and their joy with each other. I could totally tell that they could hardly wait for their little one to arrive and I’m sure you’ll see it also in these few images.

I had my maternity session with Keri lynn scheduled for the last day before her hubby left town for work and it rained all afternoon. Needless to say I was rather worried we wouldn’t be able to get outside but it turned out there was no need to stress. We ended up getting a glorious evening for our session and I really enjoyed my time with these two. Thanks for the great evening guys, I can’t wait to meet your little one in a few weeks!
